In 2025, Designers Carpet was honored as the Best Hand-Knotted Carpet Manufacturer in Asia by APAC Insider. This award is more than recognition; it is a celebration of the generations of artisans who weave culture, patience, and passion into every knot.
Our journey began at Finger Post Design, where every design was meticulously traced by hand. Years of dedication culminated in the publication of Nepal’s first carpet-making book, laying the foundation for thousands of small and medium-scale factories across the country.
A Nation of Weavers
Today, Designers Carpet partners with over 40 small and medium-scale factories, keeping the tradition of Nepali hand-knotted carpets alive. Our collaborations support local communities while preserving the heritage of weaving that has been passed down for centuries.
Every carpet begins with the finest Himalayan wool, dyed naturally to reflect authentic colors. Our artisans hand-knot each thread with precision and care, ensuring that every piece tells a story of skill, patience, and soul.
True luxury is not speed — it is patience, skill, and soul.
While rooted in tradition, Designers Carpet embraces modern design sensibilities. Each collection blends contemporary aesthetics with ancient techniques, ensuring every carpet is unique, functional, and timeless.
Nepal’s First Carpet Design Exhibition – Pioneering Hand-Knotted Art
Long before international recognition, Designers Carpet was shaping the future of Nepali carpets through design exhibitions. We organized Nepal’s first-ever carpet design exhibition, transforming the craft from a utilitarian product into a celebrated art form. Since then, we’ve curated multiple exhibitions in Kathmandu, Delhi, and Dubai, spotlighting the fusion of heritage patterns with contemporary vision, and inspiring a new generation of designers and collectors alike.

Awards and Recognition
Beyond the APAC Insider award, Designers Carpet has achieved milestones in promoting Nepalese carpets internationally, showcasing the skill and creativity of our artisans to a global audience.

Our commitment remains unwavering: to preserve the art of Nepali hand-knotted carpets for generations to come, supporting communities, empowering artisans, and weaving stories that last a lifetime.
